This exempt position will be based out of Denver, CO. Housing Connector is a flexible hybrid workplace. This role will work primarily remotely with regular in-person meetings with partners and potential partners in the Denver Metro area.
As the team grows, more in-office responsibilities may be required.

Position Summary :
As the Managing Director for the Denver Metro area, you’ll lead our mission to enhance housing security, driving transformative efforts to create lasting change across the region.
This role presents a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to make a significant impact while demonstrating the scalability of our proven approach in diverse communities.
In this leadership role, you will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, from government and community leaders to business partners.
You’ll tailor and implement successful strategies from other Housing Connector markets to meet the unique needs of Denver and its surrounding areas, contributing to meaningful local outcomes while shaping a model for future growth.
A critical part of your role will be driving wider program adoption across local cities and counties, ensuring our approach is embraced and expanded throughout the region.
With full ownership of operations, you’ll showcase your ability to lead, innovate, and make strategic decisions. We’re seeking a visionary leader who excels in building impactful programs, forging powerful partnerships, and driving business-to-business sales.
You’re adept at managing stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and guiding teams to success. With a bias for action, you will draw on your program leadership expertise, exceptional communication abilities, and deep knowledge of the Denver Metro market to drive regional program expansion and achieve outstanding results.

- Strategic Leadership : Set and achieve vigorous growth goals with the team and VP of Market Operations, providing visionary leadership aligning with the company’s mission and values.
- Operational Management : Adapt end-to-end operational infrastructure to meet local customer needs. Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective functioning while resolving operational challenges and creating an outstanding customer experience for property and community partners.
- Team Building and Development : Hire, manage, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Mentor and lead team members, ensuring their growth and alignment with the organization's mission.
- Market Expansion : Grow the presence of the company by recruiting and onboarding new property partners, building awareness with nonprofit partners, and developing new funding opportunities with private and public institutions.
- Fundraising and Financial Management : Attract private, public, and governmental funding for future operations by developing and maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders across the Denver Metro market.
Secure funding through grants, donations, government contracts, and other revenue streams, ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Build and manage strategic relationships with property partners, nonprofit partners, and other key stakeholders, focusing primarily on building housing inventory in the company marketplace and maintaining productive relationships that advance the organization’s goals.
- Customer Experience : Create outstanding customer experiences for property and community partners, resolving operational challenges and ensuring their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Marketing and Public Relations : Support the implementation of grassroots marketing efforts to increase awareness of the company among key stakeholders and strengthen the organization’s presence in the community.
- Cultural Competence and Inclusion : Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, ensuring that practices and programs are accessible and relevant to the communities served.
Requirements :
Skills and Qualifications :
- A bachelor's degree is a plus, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proven ability to set and achieve clear strategic goals, providing visionary leadership in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Strong communication skills to articulate vision and strategies clearly.
- Track record of success in securing funding and managing finances within a nonprofit or similar environment, with experience in sales, real estate / property management, and / or housing.
- A strong aptitude for business-to-business sales, stakeholder management, and team building are a must. Established connections in the Denver Metro and surrounding area, with exceptional interpersonal skills to build and manage strategic relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and stakeholders simultaneously, adapting operational infrastructure to meet local needs.
- Demonstrated success in hiring, managing, and developing effective teams, fostering a positive and growth-oriented work environment.
- Ability to navigate and resolve crises, maintain stability and drive solutions that align with the organization’s mission.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a proven ability to create an environment that is actively inclusive for all.
- A relentless pursuit of the optimal customer experience, with curiosity and a growth mindset that drives continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results, with a history of success in startups, launching programs, or similar environments.
- Nice to have : Experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns, with a proactive, hands-on approach to building the organization’s presence.
- Must have valid driver's license, current insurance and reliable transportation.
