The ideal candidate for this position has previous cooking experience, enjoys working in a busy environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate food inventories
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
The ideal candidate will have :
- The ability to read and follow standardized recipes
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English effectively to use recipes, prepare meals and communicate effectively.
- Three years of food service experience in a healthcare setting.
- ServSafe Certification preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
