Under the direction of pathology technical coordinator and direction of the pathologist, perform technical functions in the histology lab as assigned.
Functions independently within the scope of established department policies and procedures. Refers unusual problems or issues regarding unfamiliar situations, test procedures, or complaints requiring supervisory attention to the Supervisor Pathology or other appropriate lab supervisory personnel.
Provide technical assistance to lesser experienced associates and / or students performing internships.
May perform charge role responsibilities according to established department and hospital guidelines.

Requirement description :
- High school diploma and 2 years experience in Histopathology and HT ACSP cert preferred OR
- AS degree and 1 year experience in Histopathology and HT ACSP cert preferred OR
- Succesful completion of a CAHEA accredited Histotechnology program and HT ACSP cert preferred
