Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas (UA Cossatot) began in DeQueen, Arkansas in 1975 as an Arkansas Vocational-Technical School, designed to provide relevant workforce training for four counties in southwest Arkansas.

Summary of Job Duties :
The MLT Director is responsible for coordinating the delivery of instruction, ensuring the quality of instruction, budgeting, and overall leadership, management, and supervision of the program.
The program director is responsible for the operation of the MLT program within the accordance and policies and procedures of all approving bodies and accrediting agencies (NAACLS).
The director is a faculty member that will teach in the program as well.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree with active plan for Master’s Degree within 2 years.
- Hold ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC certification.
- Two years medical laboratory experience and / or training.
- Two years of teaching / training or in-service experience.
