Overview
We are seeking a Registered Mechanical Process Engineer for our Albany, GA branch location. Will function as a hands-on engineer providing manufacturing / process engineering expertise for project design, commissioning, and start-up.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial engineering project execution and a strong working knowledge of manufacturing and process plant environments.
Requires local travel to client site (mileage to / from office is reimbursed) for meetings, field inspections, and startup.
Longer trips / overnight visits are required occasionally.

Responsibilities
- Produce layout and manufacturing drawings following acceptable Engineering and Manufacturing Standards.
- Provide technical design support for Project Leader.
- Supervise and train designers and design teams as required.
- Understand project's scope, schedule, and budgetary restraints and work within them.
- Participate in and lead internal & external design reviews including interrelationships of other disciplines.
- Follow established project controls procedures.
- Prepare formal project control forms, i.e., transmittals, drawing requests, etc.
- Communicate directly with the client in all aspects of the project.
- Will be responsible for managing their own jobs.
- Will coordinate work with a designer for projects that include : process, machine upgrades, piping, utilities, etc.
