Product Specialist I114106Zurich North America is currently looking for a Product Specialists to join our Casualty Product Development Team based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois,or Remotely within U.

S. If this position is based out of our Schaumburg Headquarters, we are offering the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely.

You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team.In this role you will use your expertise within commercial liability insurance to help construct policies, create coverage enhancements, write manuscript endorsements, and provide guidance to underwriters.

You will also assist with competitive analyses, product updates for new regulations, and will work with and update our internal tools.

Responsibilities for this role include : Lead the development and implementation of underwriting solutions (e.g., product development) for Commercial Liability Lines of BusinessIdentify market standard product opportunities based upon the latest product line, industry trends, and emerging risksMaintain and promote existing strategic partnerships both internally and externallyAdvise the Business Unit and Underwriters in responding to coverage requests and drafts language for specific transactions and portfolio coverage enhancementsPromote a consistent approach to coverage through adherence to an established coverage philosophyStructure new endorsements consistently and maintain the endorsement library with relevant updates and modificationsSupport underwriting strategy and product development by incorporating lessons learned from competitor forms and approaches to coverage in new productsParticipate in compliance-related queries, including state regulatory exams and insurance department inquiriesLead product refreshes (e.

g., updating pre-existing coverages and endorsements) by managing form and endorsement drafting, leading reviews with Corporate Law and Claims Legal, and managing the filing process and Departments of Insurance review and approval processAnalyzes and develops solutions pertaining to Insurance Regulatory requirements with respect to product filings within scope of underwritingBasic Qualifications Product Specialist IJD and 6 or more years of experience of law practice specializing in the insurance areaPreferredQualifications : Industry experience in the relevant line(s) of businessStrong organizational and analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAs a condition of employment at Zurich, employees must adhere to any COVID-related health and safety protocols in place at that time ( ).
