Job Summary

The primary duty of a Financial Aid Advisor 1 is to provide financial aid advisement to students and parents on a daily basis.

This individual is also responsible for analyzing files for a specific caseload of students who apply for financial aid on an annual basis and determines financial aid eligibility upon verification of specific documents.

This position requires awarding aid in compliance with government regulations and specific program guidelines and serves as the department's subject matter expert on special programs.

Work assignments may be assigned to any SGSC campus, off-campus, day, evenings, week-ends, and / or on-line.

Banner Information -

Review Banner Reports for updates

Analyze and Process Documents -

Analyze and Process Documents

Provide counseling and assistance -

Provide counseling and assistance to students and parents

Training / Conferences -

Participate in Federal and State trainings and conferences

Other Duties -

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

The completion of an Associate Degree

Required Experience

Minimum of one year of successful previous work experience is required

Proposed Salary

Salary - $36,000 annually plus benefits.

Knowledge of Federal and State Financial Aid Regulations

Knowledge of Financial Aid Module of Banner Student Information System

Knowledge of Campus Logic's Student Forms Application
