Job Description :

This role oversees fundraising, engagement, and development activities for multiple distinct university priorities, including but not limited to the College of Professional Studies and Hendricks Chapel.

This position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive advancement strategies to support the unique missions of these units, ensuring the cultivation and stewardship of donor relationships, and enhancing the visibility and impact of these programs.

This position reports to the VP of Schools, Colleges, and Administration and has full accountability to the Deans of the respective units in relation to the specific work for those programs.

They have front line responsibility for the identification, solicitation, and stewardship of a portfolio of major donors and prospective donors.

This individual works closely and collaboratively with the Deans, associated faculty, other leadership, and central Advancement colleagues to achieve a high level of engagement and financial support from alumni, parents, friends, and organizations and is the primary contact for volunteer leadership boards associated with the programs.

Key performance metrics include effective management of the advancement program, face to face visits, number and dollar value of solicitations, and meeting the programs' annual goals.

Responsibilities :

  • Strategize, develop and execute comprehensive fundraising and engagement plans for the College of Professional Studies, Hendricks Chapel, and others (The Programs) to further the resource needs of the units as identified by the respective unit Deans.
  • Serve as the Programs' chief development officer creating and implementing strategies to identify, cultivate and solicit alumni, parents, friends, corporations and foundations.
  • Manage a personal collective portfolio of approx. 60 major and principal gift prospects and donors.
  • Demonstrate accountability to VP for Schools, Colleges, and Administration and to the Deans for executing campaign plan and driving toward achievement of advancement and unit goals.
  • Work strategically and collaboratively with centrally based AEA offices and staff, including Gift Planning, Principal Gifts, Major Gifts, International and Regional Development, Alumni Engagement / Annual Giving, Advancement Services, Prospect Development and Analytics, and Donor Relations.
  • Represent the Programs and their priorities across the university community.
  • Travel domestically to meet with donors and prospects.
  • Plan, manage and staff domestic prospect visits for the Deans.
  • Serve as primary contact and provide oversight to Programs' volunteer advisory boards identifying, engaging, soliciting, and stewarding past and present board members.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of each Programs' priorities, activities, academic programs, and centers of excellence to translate these assets into compelling funding opportunities and align them with donors' interests.
  • Work with Programs' faculty and staff to involve them with alumni engagement and funding opportunities where appropriate.
  • Work with the Programs' budget offices to align gift accounts and operational budget.
  • Record and maintain updated plans and opportunities for assigned portfolio as well as all other activity relative to donors and prospects.

Record results of all solicitations into CITRUS / CRM database including meaningful interactions ensuring the accuracy of all entries.

Perform other duties as deemed appropriate to the accomplishments of the responsibilities and functions related to this position.
