Summary :
This position is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of computer hardware, software, peripherals and data communication devices, including basic administration.
In addition, this position will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Glass City staff as well as to Glass City members when needed.
This position may require work to be done after business hours and / or on the weekends as needed.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 a.
m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Regular attendance is essential for this position. Required to work variable hours, which may include weekends.
- Provide IT-related support for internal staff issues and member issues.
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting of Credit Union's computer systems and peripherals.
- Under general supervision, assist in installation, configuration, deployment and continued maintenance / updates of computer hardware and software, peripherals and data communication devices, including network adapters and support of hardware connections.
- Assist in maintaining and developing the Credit Union's document imaging system.
- Assist in training staff on current and new technologies used by the Credit Union.
- Make recommendations to IT department policies and procedures to improve support levels to staff and increase operational efficiency to benefit the Credit Union.
- Function as a backup system administrator.
- Research questions from Glass City members pertaining to the Credit Union's Home Banking website, Mobile Banking apps, and electronic Bill Pay system.
- Provide updates, status and completion information to manager and / or users via in-person, email, or telephone communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Associates / Bachelor Degree in Information Systems and previous IT support experience is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suites
- Basic computer hardware and software troubleshooting knowledge
- Basic hardware knowledge of computer network devices
- Database reporting knowledge a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills a priority
- Reasoning / logic skills for problem identification and resolution
- Familiar with copier, fax machine, printer, and scanner.
- Accurate typing and keyboarding skills.

The employee's environment is well lighted, heated and / or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
