Position Summary
This position is responsible for fostering the organizational culture through internal communication. In close partnership with departmental relationships, this role works to ensure a consistent communication style / voice across multiple regions, offices, and departments.
The key functions of this role are to create strong employee engagement, ensure internal adherence to brand and messaging standards, and generate effective internal communications.
This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, specifically urgent communications.
In addition to communications, this role may also support efforts related to the Company’s philanthropy and ESG reporting.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide timely and focused communications, as needed, including consulting with client, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to help achieve communication goals.
- Manage and improve internal communication channels, including company intranet.
- Develop internal messaging, presentations, speeches, posters, videos, and other communication media.
- Manage and improve branding on social media platforms.
- Reinforce company values through internal communications and change management activities.
- Set and execute internal communication strategy and tactical plan.
- Proactively develop strong relationships with leadership and employees across the company, with acknowledgment this role will work closely with HR, IR, IT, External Affairs and Sustainability to build a successful communication program.
- Annual review and preparation on crisis communication tools

Minimum Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Business Management, Human Resources or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a communication related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment, flexible with the demands of a growing company.
- Ability to accept ideas and feedback from multiple levels of the organization and determine best course of action.
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce results under tight deadlines.
- Strong follow-up and follow through with the ability to manage workload independently.
- Ability to think strategically, creatively, and tactically.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Familiarity with oil and gas industry preferred.
- Flexibility to grow and expand with company needs.

- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions : Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax;
maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
