As our Medical Records Technician (Clerk), you’ll work SHIFT/SCHEDULE to collect confidential data related to patient medical charts, records, and documents. You’ll interact with patients, hospital staff, and 3rd party entities in person and over the phone throughout the day. There is quite a bit of walking involved, especially in bigger hospitals, where records need to be collected more than once a day. You will rely on your strong customer service skills, proactive communication style, and savvy computer skills to perform data entry, scanning, and indexing activities.
As an integral member of the hospital team, you will enjoy the vibrancy of the hospital setting, you’ll learn lots of new things, take on challenges, and have many opportunities to be heard. We are especially interested in your critical thinking skills and input on process improvement!
To thrive in this position, you’ll need to be confident with technology, accuracy, and communication, however you don’t need to have any previous hospital experience or knowledge in healthcare. Bring your previous office-related experience, strong customer service skills, and we’ll teach you everything you need to know. This a perfect starting point to launch your healthcare career. All applicants must also be up to date on all vaccinations (including COVID and annual flu shot), pass a drug test, and background check prior to hire.
