Organizational Relationship
The Payroll Administrator reports directly to the HR Manager. As a member of the Mighty Team s / he will have a fully cooperative relationship with all employees, franchise personnel, departmental and office personnel, agents and vendors.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Process Payroll (also helping to enter hours, audit punches and time off requests).
- Taxes : Maintenance of unemployment taxes (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama), Federal and State via Paychex, payroll vendor.
- Calculate and enter benefits deductions : medical, dental, vision and supplemental, wage garnishments.
- Review insurance changes monthly.
- Enter 401k Employer and Employee Contributions.
- Administer FMLA, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability within payroll.
- Maintain accruals (i.e.
PTO).
- Administer on-boarding process for new hires (I-9, direct deposit, taxes) and adding them into the system.
- Maintenance of personnel, benefit and I-9 files.
- Employment verification.
- Provide support to coordinate company’s training and meeting sessions.
- Cross train with HR Manager.
Minor Job Responsibilities
Monthly staff meeting anniversaries and departures.
Educational Requirements
College degree preferred, will accept candidates with 1-3 years related work experience.
Experience
Must have at least three years previous Human Resources / Payroll experience.
Intermediate software skills in Microsoft 365, intermediate excel experience, payroll HRIS system experience(Paychex preferred).

Working Conditions
Daily office hours are generally between 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday, but will only work 20 hours a week.
