Hatchery Egg / Poult Delivery Driver-CDL Required Ubicacin Goldsboro Hatchery #3 Departamento Live Operations Shift Day Position Summary :
Safely transport eggs from farms to the hatchery, utilizing care to ensure the eggs are not broken or damaged. Drive truck to destination to deliver poults.
Ensure that prior to departure and upon arrival the truck is cleaned and inspected.
Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities :
Inspect truck to verify all systems are functioning properly.
Load according to house, flock number and stop.
Load truck with roll dollies or load individual boxes.
Install poles into stacks to ensure proper airflow.
Drive to specified areas following all DOT regulations. CDL license required.
Monitor the load by adjusting temperature according to regulation.
Unload trucks at designated house per instructions of growers, this includes putting poults into rings.
Reload empty boxes and return to Hatchery.
Leave proper paperwork and empty bins and boxes with the hatchery in the proper locations.
Truck must be cleaned inside and out using water hose, brush, cleaner, and disinfectant on a daily basis.
Utilize a pallet jack to take eggs to the egg room and unload sustaining a level no higher than 6 boxes.
Compare pick up ticket with delivery ticket to verify proper number of eggs in transfer.
Coordinate with farm manager and egg room workers to load freshest eggs first.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Ability to drive a commercial box truck with exact maneuverability.
Basic reading, writing and mathematical comprehension.
Must be knowledgeable in all DOT regulations regarding operation of commercial vehicle. CDL license required.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
