Job Summary : The Machine Operator / Forklift Operator is responsible for operating machinery and forklifts to assist in the manufacturing and distribution processes.
This role involves ensuring the efficient operation of equipment, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Machine Operation :
- Operate and monitor various machines to produce quality products.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
- Follow production schedules and maintain accurate records of operations.
Forklift Operation :
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and products within the facility.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials to optimize space and safety.
Safety and Compliance :
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in safety training and reporting any hazards or incidents.
Quality Control :
- Inspect products and materials for quality and accuracy.
- Report any defects or issues to supervisors for resolution.
Team Collaboration :
- Work closely with team members to achieve production targets.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding workflow and equipment needs.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in machine operation or forklift operation preferred.
- Valid forklift certification (if required).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic mechanical skills for machine maintenance.
