Job Summary :
The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of drywall installation projects. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, schedule, and oversee drywall installation projects from start to finish
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met
- Manage project budgets, tracking costs and making adjustments as necessary to stay within budget
- Create and maintain project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met
- Supervise and support field staff and subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and safety protocols
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality of work
- Identify potential issues or delays and develop solutions to mitigate risks
- Review and approve project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and invoices
- Provide regular project updates to clients and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the drywall or construction industry
- Strong knowledge of drywall systems, installation processes, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and subcontractors
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of local building codes and construction safety regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
- PMP certification is a plus
