We are looking for hard working individuals to do small hand assembly for an electronics manufacturer in Shelton, CT.
Small parts are picked up by a machine and placed onto a small circuit board. Experience is preferred but not necessary.
Applicant must be willing to work hard, be patient, and to learn. The ideal candidate for this position is : Hard working Patient Quick learner Follows Directions Punctual (If you cannot be at work 2 minutes early every day, please do not apply) Respectful (not only to management, but all other employees) Diligent Self-Starter (take initiative, don't sit around waiting for instructions, ask) Capable of working independently or with others.
Not looking for someone who needs babysitting.) Our hours are MONDAY-THURSDAY 7-4 with a half an hour lunch. FRIDAY 7-1 no lunch.
Totaling 40 hours. JOB DUTIES : Solderers are responsible for installing through hole components on Printed Circuit Boards and soldering by hand using a soldering iron.
Parts and boards vary in size. Relatively simple to learn, just need the willingness to learn and patience, in addition to quality and speed once training is complete.
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE : High School Diploma or GED. Experience is preferred but not necessary. Any trainable applicant will be considered for the position with no experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Standing or sitting for short-long periods of time. Ability to sit and stand back up sometimes within minutes of each other.
Ability to carry 10-25 pounds. Ability to inspect very small components on PCBs for long periods of time. TRAINING PLAN : All hired applicants will be trained in mandatory company procedures and safety as described in the Employee Manual.
ISO9001 : 2008 Quality System Additional training to include but not limited to : part identification, machine setup, programming, stencil printing, SMT placement machine operation, reflow over operation, and operator maintenance of equipment.
