Location : East Grand Forks, MN

About : Lumber Mart, Inc. is a full-service lumberyard, truss manufacturing operation, and hardware store that strives to provide the best in customer service.

Pay : $19-$25 depending on experience

Hours : Monday Friday 7 : 30-5 : 30 (1 hour lunch)

Saturday 8 : 00 5 : 00 (1 hour lunch) (Saturdays on a rotating schedule)

As a Yard / Warehouse Associate at our lumber yard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our yard and warehouse.

You will be responsible for handling lumber and building materials, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities :

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of lumber and building materials.
• Assist customers in loading and unloading materials, always providing exceptional service.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the yard and warehouse, ensuring materials are easily

accessible and properly labeled.

• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and store materials safely.
• Cut lumber and other materials to specific lengths using saws or other tools as needed.
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping, disposing of

debris, and maintaining safety protocols.

Assist with assembling and preparing orders for delivery to customers and construction

sites.

Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and excellent

customer satisfaction.

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements :

• Previous experience in a warehouse, construction, or lumber yard environment preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks in

all weather conditions.

• Basic math skills and ability to accurately measure and cut materials.
• Experience operating forklifts or willingness to obtain forklift certification.
• Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills :

• Forklift certification or experience operating other heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Experience with basic carpentry or construction tasks.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
