Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II, Health Care Regulations and Policy Section, Risk Management Branch (RMB), Policy and Risk Management Services, the Health Program Specialist I performs as a highly skilled, technical program consultant in a variety of assignments involved in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies, procedures, clinical care guides, forms, regulations, and the Health Care Department Operations Manual (HCDOM) to ensure a cohesive, department-wide approach to regulation, health care policy, and operational procedure development which includes clinical services and administrative functions. Telework is required.

NOTE : A Training and Development (T&D) Assignment will not be considered for this position.

  • This position is located in the Risk Management Branch, Policy and Risk Management Services. The Risk Management Branch oversees the development of health care policies and regulations;
  • assists with court monitoring activities related to the Plata class action lawsuit; acts as a liaison for institutional court-related tours and inspections;

and coordinates data collection and responses to Public Records Act requests. This vital team also provides health care-related litigation support and coordination for the CCHCS Office of Legal Affairs and each institutional Litigation Coordinator.
