Manual Machinist
Pay : $20-26 / hr.
Description :
The Manual Machinist will perform repair and fabrication of components for ac / dc motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, turbines, etc.
using manual lathes, mills, shapers, drill presses, grinders as well as electroplating. Candidate must apply knowledge of machining procedures, mechanics, mathematics, metal properties and layout.
This is not a CNC position.)
Requirements :
- Experienced using manual lathes, mills, shapers, drill presses and grinder
- Experienced performing repairs and fabrication of components for ac / dc motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, and turbines
- Flexibility for occasional travel and working overtime / weekends as needed to meet demands of the company and customers
- Good math skills
- Understanding of machining procedures, understanding of metal properties, and layouts
Job Duties :
- Perform repair and fabrication of components for ac / dc motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, turbines, etc.
- Operate manual lathes, mills, shapers, drill presses, grinders as well as electroplating
- Use knowledge of machining, mechanics, mathematics, metal properties and layouts to complete projects
- Keep work area safe and clean to company standards
