Assembler-Welder
Pay : $21 / hr.
Hours : Mon-Fri (7am to 3 : 30pm)
Description :
The Assembler-Welder will assist in the assembly of enclosure systems. This will require knowledge and understanding of reading a tape measure and blueprints.
This position also requires an entry-level knowledge of welding which is 15-20% of the job responsibilities.
Requirements :
- Experienced welding in one or more of the following positions : flat, horizontal, or vertical
- Proficient with MIG welding using .045 wire and settings.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints (test will be required)
- Ability to accurately read and interpret a tape measure (test will be required).
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Construction / Building experience a plus
- Ability to lift and maneuver metal components a minimum of 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work in other related departments as required.
- Some overhead crane experience is a plus.
Job Duties :
- Read and work off blueprints
- Operate MIG welding machines
- Follow written and verbal work instructions
- Lift and maneuver metal components a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Read and interpret a basic tape measure
- Proficient use of basic hand tools such as grinder, cut-off wheel, and magnetic drill.
- Assemble large metal enclosures.
