Responsibilities
Full service Emergency Department (ED), treating all ages. This role assumes the responsibility for assisting with the implementation of supportive nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and Medical Director.
The Under the direction of a health care practitioner, the Paramedic provides patient care within a defined scope of practice that includes patient care / observation, specified treatments and procedures;
provision of environmental and personal safety, and effective communication. The Paramedic will also be responsible to collect pertinent data within their certification scope of responsibilities and report these clinical, psychosocial , etc.
findings to the RN or ED medical provider and charts appropriately. Works in collaboration with RNs and Medical Providers to provide patient care to adult medical and trauma patients utilizing advanced skills and judgment.
Paramedics will be responsible for ECG interpretation, IV therapy, airway patency, and initiation of approved protocol orders and guidelines of patients in the ED setting.
Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
High school education or equivalent Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
Completion of basic arrhythmia (i.e. ECCO training module) or monitor tech class within days or successfully passes dysrhythmia testing with %
Required- 2 years’ experience as a Paramedic in a pre-hospital environment.
Preferred- 1 year experience in a hospital setting as a paramedic
Required : Completion of an approved EMT-P program and current certification as a Paramedic in the state of Florida.
CPI Required within 6 months of hire
