Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking applications for a Director, Administrative and Financial Services for the Office of Information Technology (OIT).

This position reports to the Vice President, Information Technology / CIO regarding the strategic and daily operations of the department.

The Director, Administrative Services is responsible for creating and leading the administrative services unit that supports and enables the organization and university technology priorities.

The Director serves as a member of OIT’s leadership team and provides operational oversight of all administrative and financial services.

These responsibilities are comprised of planning, developing, implementing, and supporting a broad range of services, including OIT personnel, budget and fiscal management, asset and procurement, contract execution, and marketing.

This position works collaboratively with university partners to facilitate the seamless delivery of administrative and financial support services.

The ideal candidate is responsible for the implementation of strategic priorities through division and campus-wide leadership activities including managing OIT service level agreements, vendor collaboration, and identification of new funding sources, among other duties.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of related professional work experience; OR

Master’s Degree and two (2) years of related professional work experience

Related Experience : Accounting, budgeting, human resources, business operations or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Workday, Anaplan, or other large ERP systems for financial and human capital management.

Experience in higher education or government environment.
