Job Description
- Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs,performs treatments, procedures and special tests, and documenttreatment as required by company policy and local / state / federalrules and regulations.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluatesdiagnostic tests to identify and assess patients'conditions.
- Assesses and evaluates patient needs for,and responses to, care rendered.
- Applies sound nursingjudgment in patient care management decisions.
- Providesprimary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupationalinjuries and illnesses.
- Administers over-the-counter andprescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborates withthe nursing team to create a Plan of Care for allpatients.
- Directs and guides ancillary personnel andmaintain standards of professionalnursing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which aDiploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree isconferred
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurselicense
- Obtains and maintains certification in BasicLife Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RNexperience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
- Excellentcommunication, prioritization, organizational and time-managementskills
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts,principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques anddemonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental andpatient care qualityimprovement.
SalaryRange : $33.00 -$33.99

- Administersover-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Carefor all patients.
- Directs and guides ancillarypersonnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program inwhich a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree isconferred.
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurselicense.
- Obtains and maintains certification inBasic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Previous experience as a PCA or other nursingassistance preferred.
- Ability to improve jobperformance through continuing education.
- Possessesknowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solvingtools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in supportof departmental and patient care quality improvement.
