LHH is currently seeking a motivated Electrical Controls Technician to join our client's team and contribute to production operations.

The hours for this role are from 3pm-11pm and the anticipated pay is between $38 and $48 an hour with OT.
Responsibilities :
- Demonstrates knowledge of electrical systems and wiring, including 120 / 480 volts.
- Performs troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on production lines, replacing components such as motors, drives, pumps, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and transmissions.
- Works safely and independently to resolve electrical and control issues across all equipment in the assigned department.
- Builds and modify existing electrical control systems for production equipment.
- Recognizes and implements proper safety practices, including Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash protocols.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize specialized skill sets in HMI, PLC, VFD, and network interfaces (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Control Techniques).
- Understand and troubleshoot networks, including Ethernet, DeviceNet, and / or Profinet.
- Work with Siemens S7 family of PLCs using SIMATIC Manager or TIA Portal for troubleshooting and modifications.
- Knowledge of Rockwell family of PLCs using RSLogix or SoftLogix software for troubleshooting and adjustments.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to solve problems and implement solutions.
- Maintain good interpersonal skills and develop strong working relationships with peers and management.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Be willing to work scheduled weekend on-call coverage as needed.
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Qualifications :
- Minimum 2-year technical degree in a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in electrical controls or a related area.
- Knowledge of CAD systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in plastic extrusion is a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to solve problems and implement solutions.
- Maintain good interpersonal skills and develop strong working relationships with peers and management.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Be willing to work scheduled weekend on-call coverage as needed.
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have own tools and be able to lift 50 lbs.
