Senior Quality Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Main contact for customer related quality topics during development and production phase.
- Maintain and manage quality assurance policies and procedures to meet customer and general quality standards.
- Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.
- Initiate investigations into supplier quality issues and review supplier 8D reports.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
- Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by customers and external providers.
- Review and release PPAP for suppliers and to customers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 5 plus years of experience in quality. Experience in the Automotive Electronics industry highly desirable.
- Knowledge in QM-Systems, APQP and PPAP. Ideally in the automotive environment.
- Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience.
- Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel up to several days in a month including occasional international travel
- Thinks operationally and strategically, analyzes issues, uses sound judgment, generates new ideas / goes beyond the status quo
