• Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities
• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software within the ground solution
• Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
• Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls
• Ensures software standards are met

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 7+ years experience or bachelors with 9+ years experience or equivalent
• An active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS / SCI clearance required. Active TS / SCI clearance preferred
• Software engineer will work with the following : DevSecOpsCI / CD pipelineC++Qt framework (GUI)pub / sub messagingPostgreSQLLinux environmentsAnsible ScriptingGIT / Jenkins (preferable)JavaAgile Methodologies and the full software development cycle
• Demonstrate knowledge and / or experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, machine learning and multi-threaded applications

The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors.

The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments.

Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
