Our client is currently seeking a Lead Tools Engineer for a contract role in the Tukwila / Renton WA area. This position does require a Top Secret Clearance and is onsite 5 days a week.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Develops program and project requirements, develops highly complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions, including alternatives for the Production System.
- Validates analysis of technical data, influences product engineering design and makes robotics, automation or technical recommendations to support production system integration.
- Leads the creation and modification of equipment and tooling definition at the program level.
- Executes project plans, provides input to Make / Buy decisions and partners with Procurement to meet program schedule, cost and quality targets.
- Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
Leads gated reviews and develops plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance and spares.
- Validates contractual performance milestones.
- Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software, and documentation.
Basic Qualifications
- Final TOP SECRET clearance (pre-start)
- Proficiency in Model-Based Definition and Drawing-Based Definition utilizing CATIA V5 with configuration management in ENOVIA and / or Teamcenter
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Hands-on experience with production equipment troubleshooting related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- 9 years of experience in interacting with customers (both internal and external), at all levels, on a one-on-one basis and in group settings
