Scope of Work
Using tools of consulting, mentoring, coaching and interprofessional collaboration, the nurse educator facilitates the professional role development and growth of nurses and other healthcare personnel along the continuum from novice to expert.
Functions in the roles of change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, champion of scientific inquiry (application of research, evidence based practice and improvement science), and partner for clinical practice transitions.
Nurse educators are REQUIRED to obtain their nursing administration or professional / specialty certification within 12 months of assuming the role, or within 12 months of achieving eligibility to sit for the exam if not eligible upon hire in to the role.

Qualifications
Required Bachelor's Degree in nursing.
Preferred Master's Degree Nursing Education or Adult Education
Preferred Current phlebotomy skills.
Previous research experience preferred
Education and program development Preferred.
Prior medical / surgical clinical experience. Required
5 years of relevant experience clinical experience related to area of focus Required
LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
National Research Certification (SoCRA-CCRP or ACRP-CCRC) required at 3-5 years
