Role Description :
The Corporate Administrative Assistant / HR Generalist role will work under the Head of Human Resources. This position will maintain effective communication and interaction with employees across the entire organization and report directly to the Head of Human Resources This job can differ from day to day.
The job responsibilities may differ significantly depending on the organizational needs this person will present a positive and professional image for the organization.
What you’ll do :
- Answer phone calls and direct callers to appropriate personnel, schedule appointments, sign for incoming packages, and assist clients and other visitors
- Respond to emails and other digital queries and correspondences
- Draft and edit letters, reports, and other documents
- Input and update information in databases and spreadsheets
- Assist in the maintenance of employee records
- Act as the main liaison for the Company’s Culture Committee and spearhead the planning of staff events, holiday parties, All-hands meetings and the annual staff appreciation week
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, including room setup and catering
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint a to create and edit documents
- Operate and maintains office supplies and equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines
- Work with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations
- Assist in developing processes and procedures
- Other items as assigned
Required skills, experience and abilities :
- 1-3 years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment
- An associate degree (preferably in HR or Business Administration)
- Strong Compliance background with the ability to write strong employee policies
- Past administrative experience or tenure in an office setting a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to multi-task and wear many hats
- Ability to communicate information efficiently and succinctly.
- Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification, preferred
- Experience with ADP, preferred
- Bilingual, fluent in Spanish, preferred
