Security Field Engineer (Access Control / Alarm Project Lead) - Livermore, CA

We are seeking an experienced Alarm / Access Control Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the industry and be able to run a deployment.

Preferred that the candidate has expertise in Verkada and Avigilon ACM. Additional skills in alarm deployment and programing would be beneficial.

At least 3 years of experience in access control installation, programming, migration and maintenance is required. Travel to customer sites is required (we cover ALL travel expenses).

Key Responsibilities :

  • Program and configure access control panels, and other system components.
  • Program and configure alarm intrusion panels.
  • Troubleshoot issues with existing systems and provide timely resolutions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and support.
  • Work with other team members and independently to complete installation and service projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each project.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep up to date with industry advancements and technology to ensure the most efficient and effective installation and maintenance practices.

Requirements :

  • At least 3 years of experience in access control installation, programming, migration and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of cabling, termination on control panels, and programming.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose issues quickly.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
  • Have passed or be able to pass the Alarm Agent test through the State of California.
  • Experience in Verkada and Avigilon ACM is highly preferred. Additional skills in alarm deployment and programing would be beneficial.
