Department Summary

We are Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), providing innovative resources and practice-oriented tools that help attorneys better serve their clients.

From online legal research and MCLE to forms solutions and print books, CEB strives to make high-quality legal information accessible to everyone, from rural solo practices to large law firms.

Founded in 1947, CEB is one of California's oldest and most prestigious legal information and continuing legal education providers.

CEB publishes judgments of California case law, practical guidance for attorneys and, CLE all in a variety of practice areas and formats e.

g. print, online and, in-person. CEB operates as a nonprofit within the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). We are an arm of UCLA Extension as we provide continuing education needed for licensed lawyers and other legal professionals.

Position Summary

As a Sales Associate, you are a master at helping the team build sales leads and close deals, as well as supporting contract closing tasks.

You leverage emails, calls, and social selling tools to identify credible sales opportunities for our experienced sales team.

You love customer conversations, showcasing brands, and are passionate about helping California attorneys leverage modern legal business solutions.

The ideal candidate is an ambitious self-starter who regularly conducts cold calling and additional research to build leads and make connections for our sales team.

This is an entry level sales position with significant growth opportunities; previous sales experience preferred. This role is primarily remote with limited travel requirements for team and company meetings.

Pacific time zone is preferred. This position does not offer variable comp nor incentive bonuses.

Salary & Compensation

UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.

Qualifications

• Sales / Customer Service Strong experience or interest in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service (Required)
• Outreach Cold-calling experience (Preferred)
• Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; team player (Required)
• Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills (Required)
• A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible achievements (Required)
• Knowledge of business process, roles, and organizational structure (Required)
• Systems mindset with strong analytical thinking (Required)
• Tenacity and the ability to think quickly (Required)
• Passionate about technology and business (Required)
• Proficient in using Salesforce (Preferred)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Bachelor's Degree in related area or equivalent experience / training (Required)

Special Conditions for Employment

• Background Check : Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
• Age Requirement : Candidate(s) must be 18 years or older to be eligible to be hired.
• 5% Possible travel to conferences, trade shows or company meetings.
