Brookfield Properties has an immediate need for an Associate General Manager on-site at Jordan Creek Town Center.
The Associate General Manager assists the (Sr) General Manager with increasing the value and liquidity of the shopping center.
This position will assist with maintaining the physical integrity of the property, creating an environment which enhances the guest experience, tenant sales, community connections, and positioning the property for future growth.

This position is designed to prepare you to become a General Manager of your own property within 9-24 months, and you will be required to relocate to any company property within the US at this time.
Responsibilities
Consumer and Community Focus : Develop mutually beneficial relationships with local officials, key stakeholders, governmental leaders and community organizations.
Actively maintain a working knowledge of the competitive landscape and work with your (Sr) General Manager to position the property as a prominent influencer in the local economy and marketplace.
Work with (Sr) General Manager to identify opportunities to create meaningful partnerships and experiences that drive community connection with the property.
- Retailer Focus : Work with (Sr) General Manager to maintain strong relationships with all tenants and gather analytics on sales performance, merchandise trends, top performing categories / brands, best practices, awards and success stories.
- Employee Focus : Work with (Sr) General Manager to guide successful teams representative of the company’s core values Humility, Attitude, Do the Right Thing, Together and Own it.
Work with (Sr) General Manager to manage and develop the talent of the property team while ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Financial Focus : Work with (Sr) General Manager to develop and execute strategic plans that enhance the value of the property and position the property for growth.
Work with (Sr) General Manager to prepare and manage ordinary capital and operating expense plans to meet or exceed company expectations.
Work with the (Sr) General Manager to support the real estate tax team in developing proactive tax strategies. Monitor timely payment of all parcels.
Assist in managing tenant receivables to achieve company objectives.
Other Areas of Focus : Work with the (Sr) General Manager to provide direction and support to the operations team so they may provide a clean, safe and secure standard by creating an environment with attention to detail in all operational standards.
Areas include but are not limited to : safety and security, repairs and maintenance, capital planning, crisis management, sustainability, tenant / landlord construction and vendor / contracted services oversight.
Work with (Sr) General Manager to provide support to achieve the property’s leasing goals. Assist the Leasing Rep in presentation preparation, market tours and provide other financial and logistical information and support as requested.
Where applicable, in cooperation with the (Sr) General Manager and corporate Director of Office Leasing, assist with aspects of the property office leasing including, leasing, reporting, operations and broker relations.
Where applicable, in collaboration with the Joint Venture team, foster a strong partner relationship founded in excellent communication and accurate reporting.
Participate in Manager on Duty (MOD) rotationOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School degree or GED required
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of property management experience preferred
- Shopping center industry experience is a plus
- Strong ability to lead and influence a diverse group of people
- Ability to communicate effectively, supervise, train and direct a mall operations team and contracted services
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Strategic business orientation while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Computer skills : Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
