The Treasure Coast Christian Academy (TCCA) is the school ministry of Family Church. Family Church is a growing network of neighborhood churches and classical Christian schools in South Florida.

This is a full-time position, reports to the Campus Director.
Responsibilities
- Structure a developmentally appropriate educational experience in the classroom using methods such as storytelling, games, and activities.
- Teach students to follow rules and procedures in the classroom and school.
- Monitor students’ progress throughout the year and evaluate preparedness for the next education level.
- Communicate all progress and concerns with tact and professionalism to parents and the director.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents.
- Enforce safety and security standards for children, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain required paperwork for individual student files, attendance, incident reports, and other necessary records.
- Successful completion of in-service Childcare Training Credential hours will be required by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) trainings.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass drug test and DCF Clearinghouse background check.
Preferred
- Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
- Knowledge of Florida Early Learning Standards and the ability to implement it.
- Certified or working toward certification in one of the following : Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC), Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC), or Florida Child Care Staff Credential Verification.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the classroom.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children.
