Substance Abuse PHP and IOP Group Therapist
Armada Recovery is a leading addiction treatment center dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance abuse and achieve long-term recovery.
We are currently seeking a Substance Abuse PHP and IOP Group Therapist to join our team in Akron, Ohio .
Role and Responsibilities :
- Conduct group therapy sessions for clients in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
- Facilitate therapeutic discussions, activities, and interventions to promote recovery and personal growth.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Provide individual counseling sessions as needed to address specific client needs.
- Assess and evaluate clients' progress and make appropriate adjustments to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other therapists and staff members to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current licensure or certification as a therapist (LPC, LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, etc.) in the state of Ohio.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling or related field.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment.
- Strong understanding of group therapy dynamics and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus.
