WHAT YOU WILL DO :
The function of this role within the facility is to assist machine operators with the setup, adjustment, and operation of their equipment.
This position may also be required to run equipment or perform other machine operator duties as required by the shift supervisor.
Setup operators are to be skilled enough to operate any packaging machine and should be able to complete changeovers and make machine adjustments to adhere to desired production rates and product quality standards.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES :
- Responsible for completing packaging machine changeovers to ensure optimal productivity and quality of product as assigned by the shift supervisor.
- As packaging machines are running this position is expected to perform basic troubleshooting for any machine issues to implement changes that ensure production equipment runs efficiently.
This will require working with and assisting maintenance.
- Responsible for accurate production and packaging changeovers as per packaging schedule
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Food manufacturing and GMP experience preferred.
- Packaging machine operation experience required. Vertical form fill and seal (VFFS) highly preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to carry 50 pounds.
- Ability to withstand temperatures of up to 100 degrees.

- Compensation : $23-$25 / hour
- Non-exempt / full-time
