Key Accountabilities :

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and develop Supply Chain team. Provide support, mentorship and training to grow our team members.
  • Create, document and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures relating to operational areas.
  • Lead ERP implementation efforts within your operational areas.
  • Utilize Voice of Customer feedback to enhance supplier or team performance.
  • Lead, develop, and manage staff to support quality and efficient execution of assigned responsibilities.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Create and implement vendor / supplier operating guide to ensure receipt of goods in line with our SQF standards.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation and contract management to ensure timely availability of quality ingredients and supplies at competitive pricing.
  • Establish, Monitor, and communicate supply chain KPIs through the establishment of vendor operating guide. Use supplier scorecards to maintain supplier accountability and performance to operating guide / supply agreements.
  • Develop supplier base to add redundancy over time and manage supplier risk .

Supply Chain Support

  • Support production by ensuring supply chain functions are in sync with production needs.
  • Ensure timely purchase order placement and materials movements to support supply chain activity.
  • Utilize reporting tools to evaluate each input of the supply chain purchasing, scheduling, logistics, and material handling.
  • Perform supply chain functions such as issuing or approving purchase orders or vetting, hosting, or visiting suppliers.
  • Ensure invoices are approved and matched to quoted supplier pricing.

Process Improvement and Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Enhance timely and accurate receipt of materials and supplies throughout our company. Develop metrics to maintain accountability to across purchasing and warehouse / logistics functions.
  • Lead journey to an accurate inventory management program through cycle count programs and monthly physical inventory process.

Implement inventory management best practices to minimize carrying costs while maintaining adequate stock levels to support production and our customers. Prepare for ERP.

  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and finance to develop accurate demand forecasts and production schedules balancing inventory levels with customer demand.
  • Optimize purchasing, logistics and distribution processes to improve efficiency, reduce lead times and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and management of logistics, purchasing, warehousing and transportation functions by establishing known processes and systems that support the overall Sales Operations Plans.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Four-year degree in a technical or business-related field.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of ERP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
  • Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain / related Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of supply chain, vendor management, materials and inventory management. Broad knowledge of purchasing functions concepts including supplier processes and practices.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and in an organized manner, with strong customer service focus.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate and foster strong working relationships across multiple departments and operating units.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Unwavering determination to succeed, balanced with a collaborative management style. Willing to make it happen by proactively identifying and resolving opportunities / issues, acting with urgency, taking smart risks and owning the outcome.
  • Proven ability with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Gmail, google sheets and Teams as well as ERP software.
  • Excellent critical thinking and project management skills with the ability to solve business problems through fact finding, business process mapping, and data analysis.
