Journey Maintenance / Construction Specialist

Our crew embarks on a multitude of maintenance and construction projects that contribute significantly to the upkeep and enhancement of some of the most diverse and beautiful State Parks in Utah. Come be a part of it!
Principal Duties :
- Travel to various State Parks along the Wasatch Back to perform construction and maintenance projects.
- Work with park management and staff to provide care and maintenance of park assets.
- Build, fabricate, or repair structures, equipment, and / or miscellaneous articles from verbal instructions, blueprints, or working drawings.
- Perform general facility maintenance including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical as well as general cleaning and sanitation.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Dependability and self-motivation. Proven reliability with a strong ability to work independently and take proactive initiative.
- Innovative thinking with a creative vision for opportunities for park enhancement and growth within potential budget constraints.
- Knowledge to solve problems efficiently to optimize state funds and improve park operations.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication.
- A Commercial Driver's License (Class A) or willing to obtain one within 6 months of hire
- Previous experience with general maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of facility operations, construction, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of general construction (e.g. building construction).
