Software Development Engineer III, Team Engage

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Team Engage develops and operates 1P and 3P based solutions to support the SMGS' mission and to drive positive outcomes for our internal and external customers.

Team Engage is looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE III) with a passion for working on cutting edge technology, who obsesses over creating bar-raising experiences for customers, and thrives in a fast paced environment.

Our solutions are built on AWS services (CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB) and 3P platforms.

In this position you will : contribute to both backend services and front end UIs across multiple products, write and review technical designs with the team incorporating feedback to evolve the designs, and build solutions that are secure, performant, and scalable.

You will help drive the team towards high standards and best practices in architecture, development and operations.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
