Software Engineer III, Supplier Advertising Engineering

Candidates for this position are preferred to be based in Toronto, Canada and will be expected to comply with their team's hybrid work schedule requirements.

We develop cutting-edge campaign management platforms enabling our partners to effectively manage their advertising campaigns through a scalable Wayfair Partner Home-based interface or via an external agencies API.

We are in search of a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our talented engineering team in a mission to enable external agencies to connect their systems with Wayfair Advertising.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development and integration of robust APIs that connect our campaign management platform with external agency systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and interaction.
• Implement a comprehensive recommendations and reporting management system that powers real-time analytics and performance metrics, enabling informed decision-making for campaign management.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to other team members.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine product requirements, aligning development efforts with strategic business goals.
• Uphold high-quality standards, advocating for best practices and leading code reviews to maintain excellence in development.
• Explore and implement new technologies and frameworks to enhance platform functionality and user experience.

We Are a Match Because You Have :

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering and designing systems at scale.
• Proficient in Java Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of database management (SQL) and software engineering principles.
• Experience with Cloud Native architecture platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience in Big Data technologies / frameworks like Apache Kafka / Apache Spark / NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI / CD) practices and tools (Buildkite, Jenkins, .
• Experience leveraging monitoring and logging technologies (., DataDog, Elasticsearch, .
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Track record of being a hands-on developer who efficiently builds technically sound systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading code reviews.
• Proficient in effective troubleshooting and issue-resolution techniques.

• Prior experience in advertising technology or digital campaign management platforms.
• Knowledge of front-end development frameworks (React JavaScript)
• Prior experience in Python
