Description :
Purpose : Provide regular and accurate status reports on pending contracts, as well as process the various contract projects in an accurate and timely manner.
Detailed Responsibility : Prepare and submit Master Agreements for approval. Review and evaluate any modifications to standard contract language.
Ability to recognize minor acceptable contract revisions those that will require additional legal and / or upper management review.
Seek advice and counsel from the Legal Department when required. Obtain necessary approvals to non-standard contract language.
Maintain database of all Master Agreements. Approve suppliers to be added to the Supplier Qualification Database. Counsel & Advise personnel on contract matters.
Act as a liaison with Legal for contractual questions and issues. Assist with developing contract forms and procedures. Ensure all activities are performed in fiscally and legally responsible manner.
Main Interfaces : Interact with staff, contractors, attorneys, risk management, technical personnel and management to insure accurate and timely processing of Master Agreements and Contracts.
Required competencies : *Degree in Business Administration or Law preferred or equivalent experience*Knowledge of oil and gas drilling, development and production operations*Working knowledge of business and contract law*Working knowledge of maritime, Louisiana and Texas law*Strong contract language writing and comprehension skills*General knowledge of procurement policies and procedures*Working knowledge of contract negotiationsWorking Conditions : Health, Safety & Environmental Risk Category : Low
