Think ahead. PURPOSE Functional supply chain excellence leadership and effective risk management for all arrangements relating to Exploration and New Ventures contracts activities.

Develop and implement contracting strategies focused on driving HSEC best practice, optimization of contracting services to meet business requirements, standardization of documentation and automation, increased service levels across operations. ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assurance of global compliance with Corporate, CSG and M&L policies, procedures and statutory requirements
  • Drive commercial contracting excellence and manage risk effectively
  • RFx, ITT, tenders are performed according to client standards and guidelines
  • Increased operational efficiencies by optimization of contracting services
  • Improved relationships with internal customers, functional teams and other corporate Sites
  • Improvements in Service Levels through contracting and KPI's
  • Increased data accuracy, management ownership and user trust / confidence in the SAP and Contract Management Systems
  • Increased visibility / audit ability across the integrated supply chain and an understanding of the mutual impacts of process aligned teams
  • Improved lead time performance within contracting process ensuring contracts are awarded in timely fashion to meet business requirements
  • Maintain an accurate contracts register reflecting all relevant Exploration & New Ventures contracts' status including performance data

  • Contracting Policies, Processes and Procedures work with all other stakeholders (Exploration, IT, HSEC, Tax, Legal, Risk, Finance) to drive continuous improvement of processes & procedures emphasizing standardization where possible
  • Tendering and negotiations of seismic surveys, data processing and licensing, related goods and services
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key contractors to ensure best service, commercial terms, and surety of services
  • Ensure 'best value ' achieved by competitive tendering, effective negotiation and contract structure
  • Align contractual, commercial and risk guidelines and approval policies to ensure effective governance
  • Internal / external benchmarking activities to achieve continuous performance improvement (HSEC, QA, Cost, Schedule etc.)
  • Knowledge of exploration operational activities, ensuring that the contracts team is working closely with the Exploration department and other functions to ensure contracting processes are implemented in timely fashion to meet business requirements (Contracting Strategies, Risk Assessments, Tendering Process, Negotiation, Contract Documents etc.) KEY RELATIONSHIPS

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
