LENAX is looking for a Senior Contract Administrator, to support Procurement and Vendor Contract Management. The successful candidate will have proven construction contract administrator experience with complex, multi-phase, multi-million dollar design and construction projects.
General duties shall include, but not be limited to, assisting with pre-bid / proposal meetings, monitor all aspects of contract compliance, assist with development, negotiations and execution of Task Orders, cGMP, and change orders.
Review contractor invoices for contractual compliance and conduct closeout procedures.
General Scope :
- The basic function of the Senior Contract Administrator is to perform advanced-level, complex services to support contract administration activities for construction services on major capital projects, capital improvement projects, and for architect and engineer services, and other professional services of various disciplines.
- The Consultant / Contractor and Employee Code of Conduct are strictly adhered to with confidentiality and no conflict of interest being at the forefront of the role and responsibility of these positions.
- Consultant staff seconded to the Client will be limited to one point of contact, for administrative purposes, including, but not limited to, payroll, reporting, ratings etc.
- For these positions there is no signature authority, and the firms and individuals are not agents for the Client.
- Must be experienced with contract types including Traditional Design-Bid-Build, Bid-Build, Professional Services, AE Design, and CMGC.
Position Responsibilities :
Consultant personnel shall assist with complex professional services, A&E, or heavy construction procurement / contract administration activities and be able to perform duties that include but are not limited to the following, with appropriate but minimum supervision :
- Work under the management and direction of a Sr. Manager Contract Administration or Director;
- Prepare recommendation for award narratives, Metro award approval forms, and procurement summary attachments for Board Reports, for Sr.
- Manager Contract Administration or Director approval and sign-off;
- Prepare Invitation for Bids (IFB) and Request for Proposals (RFP) packages;
- Perform pre and post award activities;
- Prepare reports and other correspondence for Sr. Manager Contract Administration or Director approval;
- Prepare documents and correspondence for signature by the Client;
- Attend and document meetings;
- Interact professionally with various levels of the Client's employees and outside representatives;
- Perform other related activities as assigned in support of V / CM efforts;
- Preparation of contract documents for pre-award solicitations and post award administration;
- Monitoring contract compliance;
- Preparation and negotiation of contract modifications / change orders;
- Participating in documenting final inspection, final acceptance, and preparation of close out documents; and,
- Interfacing with contractors and agency personnel.
Required Knowledge / Competencies :
- Theories, principles, regulations, and best practices for professional services, A&E, and construction (public works) procurements / contract administration for public agencies.
- Applicable local, state (California), and federal (FTA) laws, rules, regulations governing public procurement and complex contract administration processes for professional services or heavy construction contracts.
- Cost / price analyses and cost principles.

Other Required Skills :
- Read, write, speak and understand English;
- Excellent writing skills;
- Word, Excel, Power Point, and business suite software for procurement; and,
- At least five (5) years’ experience in public contracting.
Note : There is currently one opening for a full-time, regular exempt employee! The worksite / location for these positions will be at the designated Project Management Offices in, Los Angeles, CA.
This position may be approved for a hybrid schedule, but only upon client approval, and only as a benefit not a requirement of the job.
LENAX offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Salary range is from $55.00 / hr. to $90.00 / hr., depending upon qualifications.
