Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the timely process of the bi-weekly payroll
- Review of payroll changes to ensure accuracy of pay.
- Manages the Timekeeper process, PTO and user connectivity
- Lead the review New Hires for accuracy
- Distribution of the labor distribution report
- Drives the bonus / commission data upload process
- Leads Manual check processing
- Processes all garnishments, FOC, and tax levies
- Responds to associate questions regarding payroll related issues such as pay and paid-time-off.
- Balances quarterly and yearly payroll tax reports
- Reconcile assigned deduction accounts
- Reconcile Union due, arrears, and cope account
- Communicates with co-workers, management, residents, vendors, and all outside contacts in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintains confidentiality of co-workers, management, owners, past and current residents, vendors, and all outside contacts
- Provides payroll information for external audits
- Provides special management reports when necessary
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- College Degree preferred. 3-5 years of payroll / accounting experience
- Experience with Workday software (preferred)
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll income tax and processes is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll policies and procedures, federal and state labor compliance laws.
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll processes is preferred.
- Organization and strong work ethic.
- Team player, customer focused and high level of integrity
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees within the company
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or working towards designation
