About the Role
As the Lead Product Manager, Safety you will spearhead the development of features aimed at educating and empowering our community.
In this crucial role, you'll be a key driver of our user-facing safety strategy. You'll work cross-functionally with engineers, designers, data scientists, and our Trust & Safety operations partners to translate user needs into innovative solutions that promote positive behaviors and deter bad actors.
You will collaborate with a team of talented product managers, fostering a culture of discipline excellence by sharing best practices and staying ahead of emerging trends in online safety.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy : Develop and execute a product strategy for user-facing safety initiatives in alignment with the Hinge T&S and company goals.
- Feature Development and Iteration : Collaborate with design, research, engineering and data teams to define, prioritize, and deliver technical solutions and features that reduce experiences of harm on Hinge.
Iterate on the existing safety feature set.
- Roadmap Planning : Create and maintain a clear product roadmap, regularly communicating updates to stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with customer support, operations, compliance, legal, privacy, and other stakeholder groups to create the best solutions to user problems.
- Data Analysis : Use data to understand performance of features, and make data-driven go / no-go decisions.
- Compliance Readiness : Understand the compliance landscape and develop innovative solutions to satisfy regulatory requirements, while maintaining a delightful user experience.
- Vendor Assessment and Procurement : Create a framework for choosing technology partnerships and implement integrations with the state-of-the-art platforms to support compliance goals.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years experience as a product manager in consumer products.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Business, etc.).
- Proven track record of leading successful product initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, specifically related to user safety.
- Deep understanding of online safety best practices and emerging threats in the dating app space.
- User-centric mindset with a passion for creating a safe and inclusive online dating experience.
- Strong technical background with a good understanding of software development and integrations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to identify user pain points, measure feature effectiveness, and inform product decisions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data science, Trust & Safety) and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

$197,500 - $237,000 a year
Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York City. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
