Job Summary

Experienced Software Engineer's (SWE2) develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.

Work individually or as part of a team. Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.

Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware / software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) / Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

This position is an onsite role.

Basic Qualifications :

Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS / SCI with polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Three (3) years’ experience in a CNO environment

Three (3) years' experience JavaScript

Three (3) years’ experience coding in Python

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
