Information Technology Infrastructure Team Lead

Summary :

Reporting to the Director of Information & Technology, the incumbent supports the installation of all network and infrastructure systems for new and existing sites including cabling, alarm systems, networking systems, and security systems for JT Logistics and any associated companies or subsidiaries.

The duties of the job holder include maintaining, configuring, and installing these systems. Along with basic Service Desk ticket resolution and computer troubleshooting.

Supervisory Responsibility :

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions :

Mounting, Cabling, and Networking ( 40 %)

Runs various cabling to industry standards including but not limited to ethernet, wired alarm cabling, and fiber.

Utilize various devices and equipment to install cabling such as crimpers, scissor lifts, ladders, boom lifts, etc.

Install door strikes for badge access systems and verify cabling to door controllers.

Install network racks and mount switches along with Access Points, Cameras, TVs, Tablets, Timeclocks, and various other network connected equipment.

Technical Support ( 30 %)

Provide technical support to all departments, companies, vendors, and clients connected to or utilizing company network and services.

Administer end-user workstations and support end-user activities on a primarily Microsoft Windows-based local area network (LAN)

Troubleshoot networks, systems, user problems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.

Test, Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Windows networks, Apple devices, file servers, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems evaluate, and recommend selection of standard components, software, and systems

Maintenance ( 30 %)

Update and maintain accurate asset inventory for all IT equipment

Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures and install guides for various processes and systems.

Perform preventive maintenance on computer, data communication, and / or peripheral equipment.

Maintain site licenses for computer software.

Maintain confidentiality of information being processed, stored, or accessed by the end users.

Equipment :

Computers and peripherals, Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, Ladders and multiple types of hand tools.

Follow JT Logistics safety policies and procedures

Special Conditions of Employment :

• Employment is contingent on successfully passing pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Frequent local and occasional overnight travel required.

Qualifications :

• 3 years of full-time work experience of site implementation and setup.
• 2 years of full-time work experience maintaining alarm and video systems.
• 3 years of full-time work experience maintaining computer networks.
• 2 years of full-time work experience on a computer help desk.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
