Responsibilities
include :
- Spearheading technical activities within the institute and committees
- Serving as liaison to the technical community executive committee
- Serving as spokesperson for technical community of the institute
- Facilitating the development of manuals of practice and technical briefs
- Providing technical guidance to the Water Institutes technical program committees on technical program development for conferences and events
- Working with program committees to develop, facilitate, and deliver technical content for Water Institute events including but not limited to virtual and in-person seminars, workshops, and other courses
- Facilitating partnership agreements with local chapters for joint events
- Developing and facilitating development of short courses, webinars, manuals of practice, and state of the art education through work with committees and ASCE’s education division
- Assisting with the supervision, effectiveness, training, and mentoring and evaluation of staff
The ideal candidate will have :
- 4-year college / university degree or equivalent broad knowledge in specialized field
- 2-4 years of experience in project management and committee support.
- Prior standards development experience a plus.
- Demonstrated success managing people, projects, and processes
- Thorough proficiency with the MS Office Suite
- Some volunteer management experience preferred
- The desire and availability to travel
