Job Description :
- Fill the display case and make the necessary separations of the different products (dairy, seafood, chicken and meat).
- Prepare marinades.
- Make chicharrón, barbacoa y carnitas.
- Make different cuts of meat (Mexico / U.S.).
- Manage inventory.
- Manage temperatures.
- Apply health standards.
- Clean the meat market area in general, including freezers..
- Keep the freezer clean and organized.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards.
- Report faulty equipment and hazards to management Job Requirements :
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Manual dexterity.
- Ability to use scales.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Knowledge of weight and volume.
- Ability to sell and influence customers to buy more.
- Ability to continuously minimize shrinkage.
- Ability to respond to customer needs and solve problems.
- Ability to learn new meat cuts.
- Basic knowledge of how to optimize meat cuts.
- Knowledge of health standards.
- Ability to manage temperatures.
- Knowledge of how to prepare marinades.
- Knowledge ofthe preparation ofchicharrón, carnitas y barbacoa.
- Knowledge of how to optimize product presentation.
- Ability to withstand cold temperatures in the freezer.
- Knowledge of how to receive the meat market products from suppliers.
- Inventory management.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to speak, read and write at a basic level in Spanish and English.
- Conversational Spanish.
- Graduation from high school or GED. (preferred)
- Food Safety Certificate. Physical Requirements :
- Lift minimum of 75 pounds.
- Ability to flex, kneel, bend and stoop.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Salary Range : $10.0000 To $13.0000 Hourly
