VETERINARY TECHNICIAN- SURGERY STERILE PROCESSING

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to oversee Sterile Processing in our Surgery team!

This person should be organized and focused on maintaining high-quality instruments and patient care through sterile preparation.

Pay : $21 - $42 / hour

This pay band dependent on experience and advancement through our CareerTrax leveling system.

In this role, you will :

• Prepare instruments and operating room for surgery.
• Troubleshooting and removing faulty equipment from service to submit for repair or replacement.
• Maintaining appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Decontaminating and cleaning operating rooms, sterile supply room, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and wrapping packs
• Serving as a resource / reference to surgical team with regards to surgical equipment.
• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
• Performs physical exam; accurately counts heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous
• Ability to take patient through entire procedure from start to finish (pre-op, monitoring, post-op, and recovery)
