Chief Scientific Officer - Coralville, IA
Mason Harding is proud to be continuing a global talent partnership with an early-stage iPSC & recombinant protein bioproduction biotech start-up, to appoint their Chief Scientific Officer in Coralville Iowa!
The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and BoD's , you will take the lead on all research and development initiatives of the Company as they ready for commercial, including the development of functional teams for the Company’s three major product segments : iPSC Solutions, Growth Factors & Cytokines and Research Solutions.
This individual will provide technical direction to the existing scientific team and set R&D strategy objectives annually, including the development of a technology pipeline and roadmap.
The CSO will also be responsible for tech transfer and other similar operational R&D initiatives with the Company’s manufacturing partners, including, but not limited to, supporting the development of workflow SOPs for manufacturing protocols.
Last but not least, this leader will get the opportunity to direct the Company’s technical marketing output and develop product collateral, giving strong steer on scientific and technical alignment.
The Profile
If YOU can satisfy the following, we would welcome your application :
- Have at least 5-10+ years in a scientific leadership function within the iPSCs, recombinant protein engineering or synthetic biology sector .
- Expertise in leading successful tech transfer with CDMO / CMO third party companies for biomanufacturing.
- A strong desire to work with a young and fast paced start-up in exchange for true equity and skin in the game prior start-up experience strongly preferred.
- Willing to relocate independently, or currently reside in the Iowa City region
